Pulido~Walker is Napa Valley’s distinctly grownup “hot” new brand. The 2010 vintage of Pulido~Walker's two flagship Cabernet Sauvignons, Panek Vineyard from St. Helena and Melanson Vineyard from iconic Pritchard Hill, opened to impressive reviews and sold out quickly.

Mark A. Pulido, former CEO of McKesson Corporation, and Donna J. Walker of the Pulido Walker Foundation have been collecting great wines for years. They are now turning their exquisite taste and business acumen to their own winemaking enterprise.

They have purchased and are currently planting their magnificent Mount Veeder Estate Property. In the meantime, they have been focusing on two single vineyard designate Cabernet Sauvignons. After years of intense experimentation, they brought winemaker Thomas Rivers Brown on board in 2010 to create their first vintage for public release.

Named 2010's winemaker of the year by Food and Wine Magazine, Thomas has been in Napa since 1997, where he began his career at Turley Cellars. He now makes Cabernet Sauvignons for a number of premium labels. Since 2007, he has received not just one, but ten 100 point Parker scores to go along with two 100 point awards from Wine Spectator. His “no holds barred,” non-interventionist style eschews technology, “all those elements that contribute to sameness.” Beyond generosity and roundness in tannins, his wines have few common traits and are very individual. Pulido~Walker's Cabernet Sauvignons promise to be among his finest and most distinctive.
