Pulido~Walker is Napa Valley’s distinctly grownup hot new brand. Its inaugural 2010 vintage opened to impressive reviews and sold out quickly. 2014 Premiere Napa rewarded Pulido~Walker’s 2012 vintage with the highest debut offering ever at $1,083 per bottle. Proprietors Mark Pulido and Donna Walker bring tons of passion, business acumen and grace to their project. Their winemaker, Thomas Rivers Brown, has earned more 100 point scores than any other winemaker in America.

 

Our theme this month, the old and the new, is perfectly illustrated in Pulido~Walker’s vineyards. Panek Vineyard in St. Helena is one of the oldest areas to be planted in Napa Valley, while Melanson Vineyard is part of Pritchard Hill’s new frontier. Pulido~Walker produces two 100% Cabernet Sauvignon single vineyard designate wines that are distinctively expressive of terroir. We are pleased to be offering a "2012 magnum duo" - one from Panek Vineyard and one from Melanson Vineyard. This is the first time that Pulido~Walker has ever sold magnums, so this is a real treat!

 

Production from each vineyard in 2012 is expected to be 250 cases.
