Notes Clocking in as one of Napa Valley’s most highly rated Bordeaux Blends, Ovid Napa Valley’s stunning, organically-farmed vineyard rests atop Pritchard Hill along with its state-of-the-art winery. An unyielding commitment to produce a world-class wine in the most natural way possible, Ovid’s innovative spirit is illuminated by its use of solar energy, micro-water monitoring, and a combination of both concrete and wood fermentation. Each of its one-acre vineyard blocks is separately fermented and aged, before a final blend is assembled from the very best barrels from each block to create the new vintage of Ovid Napa Valley. Ovid embraces innovation in all its forms, committed to experimentation in grape-growing and winemaking to learn what will make the very best wine. The results are stunning. Antonio Galloni describes the 2012 wine as "one of the high points" of the vintage and effuses about the early results of his 2013 barrel tastings.
