Notes

Situated on the grounds of Rancho Caymus, the first piece of land ever awarded to an American (George Yount) by the Mexican administration in 1836, lies Kapcsandy Family Winery, on the Napa Valley floor. Kapcsandy’s soil has created some of Napa Valley's most historically-significant wines, including the Beringer wines at the end of last century. Lou Kapcsandy is the embodiment of the American dream, escaping Communist Hungary to find his way to a friendly place where he could express his passion for wine. Roberta’s Reserve is one of Kapcsandy’s two flagship wines and is perhaps the finest merlot in America. The 2012 vintage received a (97-100) barrel rating from Robert Parker.

Production in 2012 is expected to be 250 cases.
