Notes Continuum Estate is the distillation of four generations of winemaking experience in Napa Valley and the realization of Tim Mondavi's dream of creating a terroir-driven, estate-based wine. The estate is situated high on Pritchard Hill, a region which is often referred to as "the best grape-growing region in Napa Valley you’ve probably never heard of." Tim purchased the land in 2005 for its perfect combination of hillside location, red rocky soils, exposure and climate. The land sits well above the fog line and the extra sunlight, coupled with the well drained, thin soils, makes for small, intensely flavored grapes with thick skins. Tim oversees every aspect of Continuum's winemaking. The vineyard is farmed in 37 one to two acre blocks, each aged separately, from which Tim crafts a final blend. The result are spectacular. Continuum's lush, supple expression of terroir has met with great critical acclaim and top-notch scores. Robert Parker calls it a "a tour de force in winemaking".
